No. MusicTeacherNotes is free for music teachers. Families (parents and students) have their own MusicTeacherNotes account, which they can upgrade to a paid plan if they want to use the premium features available to them. Teachers can use the MusicTeacherNotes software at no charge because it’s open-source software for teacher and music studio management.
It is not mandatory for families to pay for MusicTeacherNotes. If families only require a free plan, they can still use it to interact with their music teacher for scheduling and communication purposes. If they wish to utilize premium features such as the ability to clip videos or use motivational tools like Music Bucks, families can upgrade to any of the affordable premium plans available.
