Amy is a trumpet player and music educator with many years of teaching and performance experience. Amy has won solo and ensemble titles at state and national levels, and has experience teaching, performing, and composing within the jazz, classical, and contemporary spheres. Amy is currently completing a Bachelor of Music (Jazz Performance), studying with some of Australia’s finest jazz musicians at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. She is a part of the Conservatorium’s premier Jazz Orchestra, and was the recipient of the 2022 Myron Kantor Bequest merit scholarship. She has written compositions featured at the HSC Encore Showcase, and by the Mosaic Jazz Collective, a group aiming to foster and showcase the next generation of Sydney’s composers and artists. She is also involved in musical theatre productions, jazz groups, and local community ensembles, such as Willoughby Brass Band and North Shore Wind Symphony. Amy encourages curiosity and student-driven learning in her teaching, and aims to support and nurture her students’ passion for music. She works with the students to meet their personal goals, as well as facilitating external opportunities, such as AMEB exams, auditions, and performances.

Students (Parents for younger students) will need to register for a free MusicTeacherNotes account. If you are a current student of mine at Amy Fox Private Studio and haven't registered your MusicTeacherNotes account, please click the orange button below. You will use the studio code (7JF86) to connect your family account to my teacher account.
MusicTeacherNotes is free for students. They have an upgradable option available, called the Gold Plan, but upgrading is not required. I can manage our music lessons whether you use their free account or their Gold account.
MusicTeacherNotes helps music teachers manage their students and helps students learn music faster. By empowering parents and students to get much more out of private music lessons, learning music becomes a better experience for everyone.
