Hi! My name is Ellie Joi Munn and I love music and theatre - so much so that I've been teaching both for the last 13 years! I currently offer private voice (beginner & intermediate) and piano (beginner) lessons out of my home studio in Branson, Missouri. I've began teaching my younger brothers piano back in 2012 and since then, I have instructed over 100 students, including private and group classes. My musical and theatrical knowledge comes from over 21 years of experience - taking lessons, performing, directing - as well as a degree in Humanities with a focus in Music (specifically pedagogy), and Performing Arts Certificate from the Sight & Sound Conservatory. This has given me both educational AND real world experience to help my students understand and overcome any challenges they may face. My approach to Voice Lessons is very holistic - that students need to be aware of HOW there voice works, WHY it does what it does, and how to unlock their own UNIQUE voice instead of trying to mimic a certain sound. I focus on vocal health and sharing techniques that make the voice stronger and more confident while also being "at ease". Singing should NEVER hurt and it shouldn't feel like you're having to push to get the notes you want - not even that high belt! Which is another thing: I won't restrict you from belting, or tell you that you have to only sing high notes...but I will help your voice be healthy FIRST and find ways to challenge you and get you outside your comfort zone.
