Hi there, my name is Riley Anderson. For the past 15 years, I’ve enjoyed a diverse musical career both as a guitar and euphoniumist. I started playing euphonium at the age of 12 in my middle school band, and I picked up the guitar the following year. Between both instruments, I’ve done over 100 performances in a variety of settings from, rock bands, solo gigs/recitals, jazz groups, wind ensembles, British style brass bands, chamber groups, to name a few. I received my master of music degree in euphonium and electric guitar from the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester, UK in 2021 and a Bachelor of Music in euphonium and guitar from Central Michigan University in 2019. In 2016, I discovered my love for teaching students, and began offering students private lessons. I knew at that moment, that it was my calling to help inspire, and gift people with music. In addition to music, when I’m not doing music I am dancing socially, competitively or helping others learn to dance. I currently compete and teach West Coast Swing, a Modern Swing partner dance style, and also dance ballroom, latin, and other social styles. My main passion is helping beginner guitarists all ages to learn to play guitar as fast as possible using a method that’s motivating, systematic, educational, and fun. Whether you’re a parent that wants a creative activity for their child, or an adult that always wanted to play guitar, I would love to help you achieve your goals. I look forward to sharing the gift of music with you.
