I am a violinist with over 20 years of performance experience, originally from Texas. I earned my Bachelor of Music degree from Stephen F. Austin State University in 2020 and relocated to Colorado shortly thereafter. My professional experience includes serving as a conductor for beginner and intermediate orchestras, a private instructor, and an Early Childhood Music Educator. Throughout my career, I have worked with students across a wide age range, from 3 to 13 years old. In my lessons, I incorporate a variety of visual and auditory aids to enhance student learning, including rote playing, colored fingering tapes and charts, as well as rhythmic and melodic clapping and singing exercises. As I embark on a new chapter in my life, I am traveling full-time and offering remote lessons to maintain a connection to my passion for teaching and music. As a teacher, my primary goal is to create an engaging and informative learning experience while fostering a safe and supportive environment for all students. I recognize that making mistakes is an essential part of the learning process, and I celebrate each step of progress. I am committed to supporting students at their individual learning pace and encourage all questions.
