Hello, my name is Alex Guerra! I’ve been playing guitar for 15 years, and graduated from Berklee College of Music in 2023 with a Bachelor’s of Arts in Songwriting & Music Production. I tailor my teaching style to the needs and musical passions of each student in order to help them fulfill their artistic goals. For over 5 years, I’ve been teaching students of all ages who have stuck with me for months or years. It’s been a joy to see their musical skills and confidence grow under my mentoring. Instead of rigid one-size-fits-all plans, I inform my students’ lessons based on their music passions, ensuring that learning stays an enriching, exciting journey instead of becoming a chore. My enthusiasm for topics often considered as mundane or complicated such as music theory (yes, I’m a nerd) tends to spark my students’ curiosity about things which most musicians dread to even think about!
If you wish to see if Alex has music lessons at a time that works for you, click the "See Availability" button.
Students (Parents for younger students) will need to register for a free MusicTeacherNotes account. If you are a current student of mine at Story Time Studio and haven't registered your MusicTeacherNotes account, please click the orange button below. You will use the studio code (EQNCJ) to connect your family account to my teacher account.
MusicTeacherNotes is free for students. They have an upgradable option available, called the Gold Plan, but upgrading is not required. I can manage our music lessons whether you use their free account or their Gold account.
MusicTeacherNotes helps music teachers manage their students and helps students learn music faster. By empowering parents and students to get much more out of private music lessons, learning music becomes a better experience for everyone.
