Greetings, I'm Rob Cohen and I have been a private Music Teacher in Juneau Alaska for over 30 years. I teach both from my private studio here in Juneau, or online with students all over the world. The instruments I teach are as follows: *Piano (Classical, Jazz, Pop, General) *Electric Piano, Keyboard, Organ, and their variants *Acoustic Guitar (Rock. Pop, Jazz, Folk and General) *Electric Guitar (Rock, Pop, Soul, Funk, Metal) *Classical Guitar *Acoustic Bass (Jazz, Rock, Pop, Rockabilly) *Electric Bass (Rock, Pop, Jazz, R & B, Soul) *Drums (Rock, Pop, Soul, R & B, Jazz) *Banjo (5 String Bluegrass) *Mandolin (Bluegrass, Classical) *Ukulele (Soprano, Concert, Tenor, and Baritone I also offer instruction in the following subjects: *Improvisation *Theory *Songwriting *Composition *Arranging/Orchestration I teach students as young as 5 and as old as you please. I have an engaging style and an eclectic approach that both appeals to a student's particular strengths and, gently but firmly, helps to shore up the areas in which a student experiences greater challenge. In addition to my private practice, I have taught at the University of Alaska Southeast, and spent many years teaching Music in the Juneau School District. I play in various Jazz and Rock Bands in town and regionally, and I have worked with our local Mainstage Theater for decades, as a Musician, Music Director, Composer, Orchestrator, and Arranger. I have also written and recorded soundtracks for 2 regional Documentaries, and original jazz tunes for performance and broadcast.
